Facebook wants to give a large donation to Chabad.org, but we need your help

#GivingTuesday

Dear Friend,

Can Chabad.org secure a $250,000 grant from Facebook? Well, you might hold the answer…

You see, tomorrow (Tuesday), Facebook and Paypal are going to match donations made on Facebook.com, up to 7 million dollars, with a limit of $250,000 per charity.

So while your donation to Chabad.org is always greatly appreciated and goes to a great cause, tomorrow (on Tuesday) it can be worth double!

If you have a Facebook account, would you please consider donating to Chabad.org on Giving Tuesday?

Click here to donate on Tuesday morning on Facebook.

Here are two important things to keep in mind in order for your donation to get the matching grant:

  1. The donation must be made via Facebook. Please click here to access our Facebook donation link.
  2. Facebook will start matching funds on Tuesday morning, 8AM Eastern Time until funds run out. It is very important you try to make your donation at or soon after 8AM EST.

(Even if you don't have a Facebook account, you can make your Giving Tuesday donation directly on our site - it will surely leave a great impact on the lives of the millions who benefit from Chabad.org!)

The Rebbe would often remind us of the significance of Tuesdays. On the third day of creation, the phrase "And G‑d saw it was good" was repeated. Henceforth, this day is considered doubly good and doubly blessed.

May you and yours be blessed with double good - materially and spiritually.

With much appreciation,

Your friends @ Chabad.org

P.S. Tonight and tomorrow, Tuesday, is 19 Kislev on the Hebrew calendar. It is a date celebrated around the world to commemorate the liberation of Rabbi Schnuer Zalman of Liadi, the first Chabad Rebbe in 1798. This date has become known as the Jewish New Year for Chassidism. Learn more about this date by clicking here and contact your local Chabad center to find out about special programs being held for this date.

P.P.S. Chanukah is one week away! Don't forget to visit our Chanukah site for menorah lighting instructions, stories, recipes, videos, crafts for the kids and so much more!
