TALK OF THE MORNING:
*Trump walks off Air Force One with a speaker blaring

How I imagine the president's arrival to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will go. / Credit: Getty

Yesterday, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un asked President Trump to meet with him and to discuss Pyongyang possibly giving up its nuclear arsenal. Trump accepts: White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said that Trump "will accept the invitation to meet with Kim Jong Un at a place and time to be determined." http://bit.ly/2Fno3q1
STIPULATION, TWEETED BY PRESIDENT TRUMP:
"No missile testing by North Korea during this period of time. Great progress being made but sanctions will remain until an agreement is reached." http://bit.ly/2Gb9jI7
IMPORTANT READ -- WHY THIS MOVE IS SO IMPORTANT:
The New York Times's Mark Landler words it well. "For Mr. Trump, a meeting with Mr. Kim, a leader he has threatened with 'fire and fury' and has derided as 'Little Rocket Man,' is a breathtaking gamble. No sitting American president has ever met a North Korean leader, and Mr. Trump himself has repeatedly vowed that he would not commit the error of his predecessors by being drawn into a protracted negotiation. ... Meeting Mr. Kim now, rather than at the end of a negotiation when the United States would presumably have extracted concessions from North Korea, is an enormous gesture by the president." http://nyti.ms/2Gb953J
BECAUSE OF COURSE DENNIS RODMAN DID:
Via The Washington Post, former NBA star Dennis Rodman, who has famously traveled to North Korea several times, praised Trump's announced meeting. Rodman also added: "Please send my regards to Marshall [sic] Kim Jong-un and his family." http://wapo.st/2p2Idux

ANNOUNCED THIS MORNING:

In the words of Rihanna, 'work work work work work work' http://bit.ly/2Fo7lab:
The U.S. economy added a robust 313,000 jobs in February, the fastest pace of growth since July of 2016, as tax cuts stoked the tightening labor market. Oh and: The unemployment rate was 4.1 percent for the fifth straight month, the lowest level since December 2000, when it was 3.9 percent. http://bit.ly/2FumYci

2020 TALK:

We're all preparing in our own ways, Biden aides...:
Via Politico's Edward-Isaac Dovere, aides to former Vice President Joe Biden are preparing for the 2020 election cycle and a number of scenarios ahead of a possible campaign announcement. http://politi.co/2tuYQVd
DETAILS -- HOW AIDES ARE PREPPING:
1)"Announcing his candidacy either really early or really late in the primary process so that he'd define the field around him or let it define itself before scrambling the field"

2) "Skipping Iowa and New Hampshire and going straight to South Carolina, where he has always had a strong base of support"

3) "Announcing a running mate right out of the gate and possibly picking one from outside of politics"

4) "Making a pitch that he can be a bridge not just to disaffected Democrats, but to Republicans revolting against President Donald Trump."

5) One idea is to "kick off by announcing that he'd only run for one term."

Context for each: http://politi.co/2tuYQVd

MOST AWKWARD MOMENT OF THE DAY:

I can't decide. We have two options for the coveted "most awkward moment of the day" title. Let me know your thoughts:

1) Looking for looove in all the wrong places::
Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort arrived at a federal court yesterday where he was greeted by locals yelling, "traitor." It looks so difficult not to react. The clip is pretty awkward -- watch: http://bit.ly/2Dej19s
News from the hearing: A federal judge announced a July 10 trial date for Manafort on charges of bank and tax fraud. Keep in mind: He also has a second trial date in September on multiple counts of tax fraud, failing to file reports on foreign bank and financial accounts and bank fraud conspiracy. http://bit.ly/2tqSmqA

2) *cue emoji of the monkey hiding its eyes*:
Yesterday, President Trump mistakenly referred to a steel worker's father as dead after the man offered praise for Trump's newly announced tariffs. How it went down -- watch: http://bit.ly/2IeXEsg

Trump: "Your father, Herman, is looking down. He's very proud of you right now."

Scott Sauritch: "Oh, he's still alive."

Trump: "Then he's even more proud of you," Trump then joked, putting his hand to the side of his mouth.

NOTABLE TWEETS

White House drawn into legal battle over Stormy Daniels
The White House is being pulled into the legal fight between President Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen and the adult film actress who claims to have had an extra-marital affair with the president in 2006.

The White House denies that Trump had a relationship with Stephanie Clifford, who goes by the stage name Stormy Daniels in pornographic movies.

But press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Wednesday also said the president recently won an arbitration ruling against Clifford — a statement that effectively tied Trump to the $130,000 payment made by his personal attorney, Michael Cohen, to keep Clifford quiet.
